Position Overview:

GLP Attorneys is seeking a Legal Assistant or Experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Burlington. This is a full-time, in-office position. In this role, you will support the legal team by performing a wide range of tasks, including setting up new client files, communicating with clients and third parties, managing medical bill payments, responding to client inquiries, conducting client reviews, handling correspondence, maintaining case records, assisting with PIP claims, and ensuring account balances are accurate. Your contributions have a significant impact on the outstanding results we deliver to our clients.


Requirements:

In this position, you will:

Work closely with the Attorney and their Paralegal to support the legal team. Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure cases are managed effectively and efficiently. Set up new client files, manage case records, assist with PIP claims, and ensure account balances are accurate. Maintain regular communication with clients, healthcare providers, and other involved parties. Handle client correspondence, address inquiries, and conduct client reviews. Manage medical bill payments and support the tracking of related documentation.

Qualified candidates should have experience, including:

A high school diploma is required; advanced education or a paralegal certification is preferred. Experience working as a legal assistant or in a professional office setting is highly desired. Competency working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience in plaintiffs' personal injury law is preferred. Strong written communication skills and experience drafting professional correspondence. Comfortable speaking with clients and healthcare providers over the phone and via email. A detail-oriented approach, balanced with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A team-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering excellent client service.

GLP Attorneys determines the compensation for positions using local, national, and industry-specific data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our firm. We strive to make competitive offers to new hires, allowing them room for future growth. Compensation will be based on the applicant's location, experience level, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.


The hourly base pay range for a non-exempt Legal Assistant in Western Washington is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. This position is bonus eligible.

GLP Attorneys sponsors 75% of the employee premium for those enrolled in the vision plan and 25% for those enrolled in the dental plan. Employees are responsible for the premiums for dependent coverage on the vision and dental plans.
