JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State York invites applications for a teaching-line faculty position in Psychology, Clinical or Counseling Psychology multi-year non-tenure line appointment, 36 weeks to begin August 2024, or as negotiated.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses each semester to support the psychology (PSYCH) and human development and family studies (HDFS) programs using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods. Teaching assignments will include courses in clinical/counseling psychology as well as other supporting courses within the two majors such as research methods, introductory statistics for psychology majors, and/or coordinating internships. Ability to teach courses in the biological bases of behavior core (perception, neuro/biological psychology, evolutionary psychology) is preferred. Teaching assignments may require teaching day and evening classes as needed. Professional development, participating in professional organizations and in course, curriculum, and program development is expected. Other responsibilities include advising students, providing career guidance, and participating in campus, university, and community service activities.

Qualifications: Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in clinical or counseling psychology by time of appointment is required and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
