Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Student Trainee to join our dynamic team. This paid internship offers a hands-on opportunity to develop essential skills in leather repair for equestrian and other projects, retail, manufacturing, teaching, membership programs, online/in person orders, administration, advertising/marketing.

As a Student Trainee, you will gain practical experience working with various tools, machinery, and materials while supporting ongoing projects. This role is ideal for students interested inbuilding a career in a leather business and potentially owning one of our future franchises.

Duties

Assist with fabrication tasks using hand tools, power tools, and leather equipment to create or modify components. Participate in assembly and leather construction projects, including sewing with sewing machines and hand tools. Help with heavy lifting and material handling (Full and 1/2 hides) within the retail shop, teaching and manufacturing area. Contribute to construction-related activities such as cutting, dying, sewing, skiving, splitting, sanding, burnishing, engraving, foiling, while under supervision. Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper tool usage, wearing protective gear, and following safety protocols during all activities. Support inventory management by organizing supplies, tracking materials, and assisting with warehouse logistics. Assist in quality control processes by inspecting products and parts for quality and accuracy. Collaborate with team members on various projects involving fabrication, machining, or assembly to meet project deadlines
Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
