Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the Leasing Consultant is to lease the units in an efficient manner to keep occupancy and collections high.
Leasing
Be the go-to expert for prospective tenants - answering questions, touring rent-ready units, and guiding applicants through the leasing process.
Collect applications, screen applicants using company policies, and communicate results with confidence.
Ensure units are completely rent-ready before move-in.
Collect fees, pro-rated rent, and sign leases with accuracy.
Sell renewals by showcasing the value of staying and highlighting the real cost of moving elsewhere.
Marketing
Constantly market the property through flyers, online listings and approved outreach.
Use banners, flags, and creative ideas to attract attention and keep occupancy strong.
Coordinate marketing with the Community Manager for consistency and brand approval.
Delinquency
Set the tone from day one by reinforcing the importance of on-time rent.
Follow Precision Equity's proven system - no shortcuts, no weak spots.
Show consistency in collections so residents know you mean business. Stick to the system, and you'll be successful!
Maintenance Coordination
Enter work orders promptly and accurately - whether online or through the office.
Reassure residents that issues will be addressed quickly and professionally.
Immediately notify the Community Manager and Lead Maintenance of emergencies.
Miscellaneous Duties
Assist with office inventory management and key control.
Support day-to-day office procedures as directed by the Community Manager.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required; higher education preferred.
Minimum 1 year of full-time leasing experience with a positive reference.
Reliable transportation.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Sales and persuasion skills with the ability to close leases and secure renewals.
Problem-solving ability to respond quickly and effectively to resident and applicant needs.
