Leasing Consultant
You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents across Bluevale's Connecticut portfolio. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced leasing team and support end-to-end leasing operations--from tours and leases to resident relations and marketing outreach.
What You Will Do
Conduct property tours for prospective residents, emphasizing features and benefits tailored to their needs and lifestyle.
Present rental rates, lease terms, and property policies clearly and confidently.
Follow up with prospects in a timely manner to nurture leads and close leases.
Assist applicants through the leasing process, including application submission, screening and approval.
Coordinate move-in processes including pre-inspections and checklists.
Address resident concerns or maintenance requests and escalate to Property Owner and/or Property Manager when needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate leasing records including applications, screening documentation, and lease files.
Input and update data in property management software with high attention to detail and in a timely manner.
Assist in generating daily, weekly, or monthly leasing reports to track occupancy and lead activity.
Collaborate with the Leasing & Asset Management team to implement marketing campaigns.
Contribute content ideas for social media, email blasts, and digital listings (e.g., Apartments.com, Zillow).
Help organize and participate in community events, open houses, and resident-related activities.
Ensure model units and common areas are clean, well-staged, and stocked with brochures.
Conduct daily inspections of leasing office, model units, and amenities to ensure readiness for tours.
Stay up to date on local and state housing regulations and fair housing laws.
Ensure all leasing practices are in full compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
What We're Looking For
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Communications, Real Estate or related field preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with initiative and comfort working under limited supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning property management software.
Flexibility and availability to work weekends or evenings as needed.
Prior customer service or sales experience is a plus but not required.
Willingness to travel to Bluevale's assets across Connecticut as necessary.
