Responsibilities
Greet prospective tenants warmly, conduct property tours, and showcase available units to highlight features and benefits
Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including screening applicants in compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines
Prepare, review, and negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and related legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy
Maintain accurate data entry within property management software, Appfolio; update resident records and leasing statuses regularly
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure property upkeep aligns with leasing schedules; assist in scheduling property inspections and repairs
Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism; resolve conflicts effectively while maintaining positive relationships
Support compliance with affordable housing regulations to ensure adherence to legal standards
Requirements
Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with landlord-tenant law is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, and LIHTC compliance requirements
Proficiency in Appfolio property management software;
Excellent customer service skills combined with effective conflict management and negotiation abilities
Office experience involving data entry, filing, contracts management, and administrative support; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Demonstrated ability to upsell available units or services while maintaining integrity and transparency during the leasing process
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills; comfortable engaging with diverse populations in a professional manner
Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance and tenant relations is advantageous
