Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Housing and Apartment Locator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting clients in finding suitable housing and apartment options that meet their needs and preferences. You will work closely with landlords, apartments, housing authorities, property management companies, and clients to ensure a smooth leasing process while adhering to all applicable regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of client housing needs and preferences. Research and identify available properties in compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Facilitate communication between clients and landlords or property managers. Assist clients with the application process for various housing programs, including Section 8. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and property listings using software such as DoorLoop and Buildium. Negotiate lease terms and conditions on behalf of clients while ensuring compliance with landlord-tenant law. Provide exceptional and measurable customer service throughout the housing search process. Manage conflict resolution effectively between clients and landlords. Stay updated on local housing market trends and available resources for low-income housing options. Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining organized documentation.

Skills

Knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs. Proficiency in property management software (DoorLoop, Buildium). Familiarity with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Strong negotiation skills to facilitate lease agreements. Experience in sales or upselling related services or properties. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships. Administrative experience including office management tasks. Strong conflict management abilities to resolve disputes effectively. Understanding of real estate principles and property leasing processes. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,055.65 - $55,464.87 per year

Work Location: On the road
