Overview


We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires strong administrative skills, knowledge of fair housing laws, and experience in property leasing and management. The Leasing Agent will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective tenants and current residents, facilitating smooth leasing processes and fostering positive relationships. Experience with LIHTC, Section 8, Yardi, and OneSite is highly desirable to ensure efficient management of property portfolios. Responsibilities



Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing, including conducting property tours and explaining lease terms. Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, applications, and lease agreements using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, and Section 8 guidelines. Conduct background checks, credit screenings, and verify applicant information to determine eligibility. Handle legal administrative tasks related to leasing contracts, renewals, and terminations. Coordinate with maintenance teams for property inspections and repairs as needed. Upsell available units or services to prospective tenants while maintaining ethical standards. Resolve conflicts professionally between tenants or prospective tenants using conflict management skills. Maintain knowledge of property maintenance issues and coordinate facilities management when necessary. Assist with data entry, filing, and administrative tasks related to leasing operations. Provide excellent customer service via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to foster positive relationships with residents and prospects.

Experience



Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred. amiliarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing, Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and legal contracts is highly desirable. Experience using property management systems such as Yardi, OneSite, or CMMS is a plus. Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and office experience. Demonstrated ability in sales, negotiation, conflict resolution, and upselling techniques. Knowledge of facilities management and property maintenance processes is advantageous. Prior experience handling data entry, filing systems, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
