Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Coordinates the activities of the department including picking, packing and shipping processes. Coordinates work assignments directed by the Department Supervisor to ensure optimal workflow, productivity, and when to shift resources. Monitor and enforce compliance with SOP's to maintain quality control and accuracy. Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient warehouse practices to enhance productivity. Hold team members accountable to daily schedules, including arrival, lunch, and break times, and notifying the Supervisor of any issues. Lead by example and maintain a professional and calm demeanor in communications. Promptly inform Warehouse Supervisor of employee conflicts and performance problems or concerns, documenting issues and/or incidents. Assist with hiring and training within the department. Facilitates daily communication with the Warehouse Supervisor to support consistent communication Act on behalf of the Warehouse Supervisor when absent, coordinating with the Warehouse Manager with timely department updates.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a warehouse setting Experience working in or understanding warehouse management systems a plus. Experience in navigating Microsoft Office products. Exhibits the ability to motivate, coach, and supervise warehouse staff to maintain productivity and morale. Excellent accountability for both self and team performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening. Excellent time management skills including planning, punctuality and attendance. Demonstrated coachability and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive work environment and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability Demonstrates emotional intelligence, problem solving, decision making, adaptability, integrity and a confident work ethic. Ability to manage multiple tasks and track progress effectively. Ability to identify and address conflicts or operational issues quickly and professionally to prevent escalation and keep assignments on track. Monitor work progress to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Certified to operate a forklift or completion of a forklift training program.

Work Environment: The work environment is an indoor warehouse, and the employee is exposed to a temperature-controlled climate. The floors may be concrete, laminate or carpeted in the warehouse and interior office. The employee must learn and follow safety protocols and is subject to random drug testing.



Work Hours: The standard work schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Start times vary. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime, on holidays, or weekends.



Physical and Mental Demands: Active. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Constant use of the upper extremities is required to reach, handle and position products, materials, tools, equipment, pushing cart and computer systems. Must always wear safety vest and closed-toed shoes on the warehouse floor. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects operating a forklift and/or pallet jack.
