Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fireplace Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing fireplaces and related components with precision and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of various construction disciplines, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and the use of power tools. The Fireplace Installer will ensure that installations meet safety standards and client specifications, contributing to the overall success of residential and commercial projects.

Duties

Install fireplaces, mantels, and associated components according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing materials Perform masonry work such as concrete forming, stucco application, and masonry installation as needed Conduct plumbing and electrical connections in compliance with code requirements Apply caulking, trim carpentry, drywall finishing, and painting to achieve a polished final appearance Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material handling Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules Maintain a clean and organized work site throughout the project lifecycle

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation Experience with construction management, estimating, inspection, and site supervision is a plus Strong knowledge of carpentry, roofing, framing, drywall finishing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete finishing Familiarity with Bluebeam software is advantageous for project documentation Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems related to fireplace installation Ability to operate construction equipment such as forklifts or skid steers if necessary Experience working on construction sites with an emphasis on safety protocols Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex installations Ability to read technical drawings including schematics for electrical or mechanical systems
