We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and nurturing (bilingual preferred) Lead Teacher to join our childcare team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children 2-4 years old. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, maintaining consistent communication with parents, ensuring the health and safety of all children, and supporting their emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development, excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive social skills among students.
Provide individualized attention to each infant in care with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of infants attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
Maintain a clean classroom and track inventory needs and supplies
Qualifications
Experience in daycare settings or as a preschool teacher is preferred.
Background in childhood development or related fields is highly desirable.
Pediatric CPR/First Aid through American Heart Association preferred
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for working with children of varying abilities.
Previous experience in caregiving, babysitting, or working with infants is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents and colleagues.
A nurturing attitude towards children and a commitment to fostering their growth and development.
Relevant certifications in early childhood education or first aid/CPR are advantageous.
