JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION

Anderson Electric Group, LLC is hiring a

Lead Structured Cabling Technician

with

5+ years of experience

installing, terminating, and testing fiber optic and copper cabling systems. This position requires someone who can

lead crews, read prints, mentor apprentices

, and deliver high-quality work in commercial and industrial environments.

You will be responsible for running low-voltage projects from start to finish and ensuring workmanship meets industry and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, terminate, and test

fiber optic cabling

(LC, SC, ST) Install, terminate, and test

copper cabling

(Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) Perform

fiber splicing

, OTDR testing, and power meter testing Install cable pathways:

conduit, ladder rack, cable tray, J-hooks, sleeves, firestop

Build and install

racks, cabinets, patch panels

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cabling issues Lead small crews or apprentices on jobs Read and interpret

blueprints, construction drawings, and cabling specs

Install and label network equipment including

switches, WAPs, and related hardware

Ensure jobsite safety, documentation, and quality workmanship Communicate professionally with project managers and clients Maintain a clean, organized work environment

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years

of experience in structured cabling or low voltage systems Experience

leading crews or mentoring apprentices

Experience installing and setting up

network equipment

(switches, WAPs, etc.) Experience in

commercial and industrial environments

Experience

reading blueprints

and cabling specifications Experience with

scissor lifts and boom lifts

Fiber splicing

experience Proficient in OTDR and power meter testing Proficient in copper termination (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A) Ability to install various cable support systems Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Must be able to pass a background check

Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently and meet deadline

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday 40 hours/week + overtime Occasional weekends depending on project needs Travel to job sites across Middle Tennessee

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
