Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.000000 | Full Time | 2nd Shift - Swing

As a Lead Sterile Processing Tech for Asante you will make extra money per hour (shift differentials) when working swing, night, and weekend hours!

  • $2.55 extra per hour between 11:00pm and 7:00am (Nights)
  • $1.44 extra per hour between 3:00pm and 11:00pm (Swing Shift)
  • $1.27 extra per hour for weekend shifts

Position Summary

The Lead Sterile Processing Tech coordinates the Sterile Processing Services functions and staff to assist surgical services and other hospital departments as it relates to reprocessing, decontamination, sterile preparation, storage and distribution of all instruments, trays and sets. The Lead Tech also provides support to the department manager and team leaders to effectively carry out the vision and function of the department.

Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of previous SPS experience working with instruments, steam, sterrad and ETO gas sterilizers, surgery cart systems and instrument decontamination is required
  • Knowledge of sterilization practices, instrumentation, decontamination processes, medical/surgical supplies and patient-related equipment required
Certifications
  • CSPDT: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician OR CRCST: Certified Registered Central Service Technician required
