Job Title: Lead Solar Installer, willing to work or relocate to Aspen from within the state, Front Range or radius of Denver/Salt Lake City.
Position Reports To: PM
General Description: The Lead Technician is responsible to lead, direct, and execute the installations of alternative energy systems from start to finish.
The Lead Technician should have a strong working knowledge of all systems and components, the installation process, internal and external processes, project scheduling, change order management, deadlines, product specification, product ordering and procurement, and all other aspects of a project. The Lead Technician should be capable of developing a project strategy and have the foresight to anticipate potential issues in order to mitigate them before they happen.
Responsibilities and Accountability:
Responsible for working with the PM or the Site Manager on daily/weekly/monthly scheduling and project planning and execution.
Responsible to assist with project designs, engineering, and equipment specifications.
Responsible to lead solar installations and provide the necessary direction for supporting team members.
Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly task management of supporting technicians and installers on job sites.
Responsible to coordinate and complete jobsite inspections.
Responsible to time track billable hours each week and submit by the payroll deadline.
Responsible for direct communication and progress reports to the VP of Operations
Responsible for resolution of in-field concerns, issues, and problems relating to projects; relaying any issues unable to be resolved to the VP of Operations or Site Manager
Responsible for ensuring practice and enforcement of Employee Safety Guidelines, and Jobsite Safety including but not limited to Safety equipment, proper use of tools, safety devices etc.
Responsible to communicate and follow-up with clients and co-workers in a timely fashion.
Responsible to communicate and coordinate as necessary with all project members. This may include Architects, General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Trades, Homeowners, Site Manager and additional Conundrum Team Members.
Responsible to keep a clean, organized, and tidy work vehicle. Responsible to coordinate regular vehicle maintenance; oil changes, tires rotations, preventative maintenance, etc.
Responsible to develop and support Technical Training and Safety programs in regards to solar installations, roof work, and best practices.
Expected to be monitoring and respond to emails in a timely manner
Required Skillset:
OSHA 10
NABCEP PV Installer
Advanced Knowledge of Solar PV Installations and Products, Energy Storage Systems, Electrical Infrastructure,
General Construction Knowledge.
Ability to read construction drawings including, One-line diagrams, Solar Roof Plans, Framing Plans, Electrical Drawings
Experience installing and bending EMT conduit
Ability to troubleshoot problems and effectively work through challenges, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Ability to clearly communicate with team members.
Ability to clearly communicate with clients and train them in the use and maintenance of systems.
Ideal Knowledge and Skillset:
Safety Training and ability to work safely on active construction sites at heights, as well as ensure employees are adhering to safety regulations.
Knowledge of Battery Systems including system configuration and hybrid inverter programming and configuration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
