We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to join our dynamic food service team. As a Lead Server, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing outstanding customer service, guiding fellow servers, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Your expertise in food handling, bartending, POS systems, and dining etiquette will help create memorable moments for our guests. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
Lead and support the serving team to ensure efficient table management and timely delivery of food and beverages
Learn and utilize POS systems to process orders accurately, handle cash transactions, and manage tabs with precision
Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Maintain high standards of daily cleaning, sanitation, and food handling in compliance with health regulations
Assist with training new staff on service protocols, POS operation, and customer relations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
Manage guest concerns promptly, turning challenges into positive resolutions that foster guest loyalty
Support opening or closing duties including setup, cleaning, and restocking supplies as needed
Help prepare and deliver catering orders
Weekly paperwork such as scheduling, ordering, etc.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with solo serving or bartending settings
Strong knowledge of POS systems
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items and enhancing guest experiences through effective sales techniques
Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety standards, and proper food handling procedures
Experience in serving and bartending will be considered valuable assets
