Lead Revenue Qualification Specialist

to join our Billing Department and support our continued success.

Position Summary



The

Lead Revenue Qualification Specialist

oversees and supports the Revenue Qualification team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of authorizations, eligibility, and benefits verification. This position plays a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring payer compliance, and supporting staff development.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, schedule, and assign workload for the Revenue Qualification team to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Train, coach, and evaluate team members; assist management with performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Monitor daily productivity and quality of work; ensure all authorizations and eligibility checks are completed in a timely manner. Handle complex or escalated prior authorization and eligibility cases. Collaborate with department leadership on special projects, process improvements, and software/system implementation. Maintain open communication with providers, insurance payers, and internal departments regarding eligibility and authorizations. Provide excellent customer service to both patients and internal teams. Fill in for team members as needed to meet departmental demands.

Qualifications



High School Diploma or equivalent

required.

Minimum 3 years of experience

in prior authorizations, insurance eligibility, or medical billing/accounts receivable.

At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience

required.

CPR Certification

required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire). Strong knowledge of insurance verification, payer portals, and medical terminology (radiology knowledge preferred). Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure. Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, and healthcare billing systems (RIS, PACS preferred).
