What We're Looking For:


As a

Lead Process Piping Designer

with Barge Design Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of process piping systems. Your responsibilities include:


Executing various assignments to develop models and documents based on outlined objectives, requirements, and innovative design approaches Ensuring accuracy and completeness of drawings by obtaining project information and incorporating it seamlessly into the designs Planning presentations for complex items with design features that may deviate from established standards, showcasing your creativity Providing seasoned recommendations for solutions to design problems Communicating with clients pertaining to specific projects and attending client meetings Reviewing and critiquing drawings to ensure the highest quality standards, offering constructive feedback to elevate team performance Mentoring less experienced designers and EITs, sharing your valuable insights and knowledge Preparing cost and quantity estimates and performing design calculations Potentially taking on the role of a project-specific lead, guiding and inspiring the design work of others Performing other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Qualifications:



Bachelor or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Drafting, Surveying, Process Piping Design or a related field 10 years of relevant experience as a process piping designer in the industrial and chemical process industry Experience in development of project design and creating P&IDs and piping schematics General knowledge of ASME B31.3 process piping codes and standards
