Under the direction of the Production Manager, Supervisors, or his/her designee, provides working direction to packers on the various production and packaging lines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides direction and guidance to the employees on the various production lines such as candy production, packing, nut selection and placement, hand-dip/hand-scoop, etc.
  • Assigns crew positions on the various production lines.
  • Ensures that packers follow safety rules and quality procedures and meets production demands.
  • Reports and updates Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor on crew progress, problems, or other matters on an ongoing basis.
  • Assists with supervision, training, and evaluation of employees.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Provides as a back-up to Packer position as needed.
  • Cleans up production line and surrounding area after shift.
  • Assists with off-season cleaning.
  • Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • High school graduate or GED or equivalent work experience/training.
  • TB certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health.
  • Two years of production related experience, including some experience leading and directing staff.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, handle at a machine-paced level of activity.
  • Ability to read instructions in English at a high school level.
