Job Description
Connected Health Care is currently seeking a Lead MLS in Microbiology for our client based in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory operations, leadership, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Microbiology department, including scheduling, training, and performance management of staff.
- Perform laboratory testing, analysis, and interpretation of results, including identifying microorganisms and analyzing the sensitivity of antimicrobial agents.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for laboratory safety, quality control, and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory procedures and results.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to optimize laboratory workflows and outcomes.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Microbiology laboratory operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
