Lead Certified Medical Assistant

to support our providers and help oversee clinical operations.

About the Role

The Lead CMA will play a key role in ensuring clinic efficiency, supporting dermatology and aesthetic procedures, and maintaining a high standard of patient service. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dermatology environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily clinical workflow to ensure smooth, efficient operations Perform patient intake, including medical history, skin concerns, and documentation Assist providers with medical dermatology procedures (biopsies, excisions, wound care) Support cosmetic/aesthetic services such as lasers, chemical peels, and injectable procedures (prep, setup, and post-care) Maintain treatment rooms, supplies, and sterile technique Educate patients on skincare, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions Complete clinical administrative tasks such as prior authorizations, messages, and pathology follow-up Train, mentor, and support medical assistants on dermatology protocols and clinic expectations Ensure adherence to safety, OSHA, and infection control standards Uphold a professional, polished, and patient-focused environment

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

or equivalent credential required

2-3+ years of dermatology or cosmetic/aesthetic medicine experience required

Previous lead, senior, or supervisory experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of dermatology procedures and aesthetic treatments Proficiency with EHR systems (dermatology experience a plus) Exceptional communication, organization, and time-management skills BLS certification required Professional, polished, and patient-centered demeanor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
