Job Type:

Full-Time 4 on 2 of Rotating Schedule 3:30p-12a


Pay:

$17.75 plus shift differentials ($.50/hr for PM shift and $1.00/hr for NOC shift)



About the Role





We are looking for a dedicated

Lead Med Tech

to oversee medication management for an assigned group of residents in our assisted living community. This role ensures safe, accurate medication administration, supports and guides Med Techs, and helps maintain smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional resident care.


Key Responsibilities




Serve as the primary Med Tech for assigned residents and maintain all medication management procedures. Oversee medication distribution, documentation, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Coordinate medication ordering, delivery, inventory, and record-keeping. Monitor Med Techs during medication preparation and passing to ensure accuracy and safety. Assist in training new Med Techs and support a strong team culture. Support scheduling of Med Techs and communicate with the Shift Leader to ensure proper staffing. Receive, inventory, record, and file resident medications, including controlled substances (with shift counts). Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and staff regarding medication orders and resident health needs. Monitor and document resident health status changes and participate in care plan updates. Maintain a clean, locked, and well-stocked medication room. Respond promptly to resident emergencies and follow all safety procedures. Perform caregiver duties when needed and assist in other departments if qualified. Follow all policies related to safety, infection control, privacy, and elder abuse reporting.

Qualifications




High school diploma or GED. 18 years or older. Current First Aid certification; CPR preferred. Completion of Medication Management training (including MAR and Six Rights). Clear DOJ/FBI background check, negative TB test, negative drug screen, and health screening clearance. Fluent in English. Must stay current with all annual training requirements.

Physical Requirements




Regular standing, walking, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. Occasional sitting, bending, kneeling, or climbing. * Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
