Reading blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates
Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to understand the scope of work and required materials
Consulting with industry experts to gain a better understanding of labor and material costs
Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
Preparing and submitting financial estimates and bids for construction Projects
Maintaining records of estimated and actual costs
Adjusting cost estimates as necessary when designs change or project scope is adjusted
Evaluating the profitability and viability of a product or service
Conducting risk analysis to mitigate cost overrun
Using sophisticated computer software to calculate estimates
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years experience estimating Electrical Industrial Construction Projects
Proven work experience as a Construction Cost Estimator or similar role
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
Experience with cost estimation software
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and negotiation skills
