SEA LIFE Minnesota at Mall of America is on the lookout for a Lead Maintenance Technician to ensure the day-to-day operation is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

About You

The Lead Maintenance Technician will support the Facilities Manager and General Manager. You will lead the maintenance team, lead and conduct the required daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance inspections and reactive maintenance. Compensation for this opportunity is $22.00.

• Lead and undertake the maintenance and repair of aquarium tanks and life support systems.

• Lead and conduct buildings and infrastructure maintenance on a routine and reactive basis, ensuring adherence to all mandatory and best practice schedules.

• Lead and drive the annual maintenance plan.

• Support the Facilities Manager on all aspects of the facilities department.

• Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the attraction ensuring it is operated in a safe and secure manner.

• To complete documentation relating to mandatory safety checks, inspections, repairs and maintenance work, equipment, facilities and infrastructure.

• To undertake mandatory training as well as personal training and development activity.

• Wherever possible, interact and assist guests to ensure they enjoy their experience in line with Merlin guest care principles.

• Demonstrate a proactive approach to the company\'s values, mission and vision.

• To maintain written safe working practices for all maintenance and facilities activity.

• To undertake written risk assessments for all maintenance and facilities activities.

• Ensure that mandatory periodic safety checks are undertaken for fire, health & safety and emergency lighting systems and that any hazards or defects are either rectified immediately or escalated to the Facilities or General Manager as soon as they become apparent.

• To ensure all equipment and tools are kept in good condition and stored in the safe and correct manner.

• Attend Health & Safety meetings as required.

• To be proactive with the general cleanliness and tidiness of all behind the scenes areas in addition to public areas.

• Ensure full compliance of policies and procedures set forth within the MERLIN ENTERTAINMENTS GROUP Health, Safety & Security POLICY (HS001) AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (HS001/A).

• In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is done in a timely manner.

• Follow maintenance programs to keep down time to a minimum.

• Ensure that attraction and maintenance areas are kept orderly at all times.

• Ensure security and safety of all attractions through daily inspections & documentation.

• Ability to work as a team player as well as individually.

• Respond to emergency maintenance calls to expedite repairs, keeping safety and comfort of all guests and employees at all times.

• Other duties as assigned
