Overview


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee and execute low voltage lighting (JellyFish lighting) systems installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires a strong background in electrical systems, security and surveillance technology, and field service operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety standards to ensure the successful delivery of projects across various environments including commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.

Duties



Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of low voltage systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, security systems, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication networks. Interpret and work from schematics, technical drawings, and system design documents to ensure accurate implementation. Perform cabling, wiring, and termination using hand tools and power tools in compliance with NEC standards. Conduct system testing including remote access software integration, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting of hardware/software issues. Coordinate with clients and team members to assess project requirements and deliver solutions that meet specifications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians during field service operations. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards such as NEC regulations. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.

Requirements



Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low voltage systems including security, surveillance (CCTV), fire alarms, sensors, telecommunication cabling, and alarm systems. Strong knowledge of computer networking, system design, schematics interpretation, and remote access software. Mechanical knowledge related to construction practices and the use of hand tools and power tools such as drills, wire strippers, crimpers. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently in complex systems. Field service experience with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety compliance. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for site visits across multiple locations. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
