Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Lead Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, answering phones, placing take-out orders, and coordinating seating arrangements in a busy restaurant environment.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage the reservation system with Opentable and ensure efficient seating arrangements. Communicate wait times to guests and assist with any inquiries they may have. Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area. Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Assist in guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly. Support the team during peak hours by helping with additional tasks as required. Taking take-out orders via Toast POS. Training new Host hires. Leading the Host Team and coordinating with the Manager. Maintaining the standards and culture of Halyards Restaurant Group.

Skills

Proficiency in Toast POS system is preferred. Proficiency in Open Table Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on hospitality. Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is advantageous. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of phone etiquette to manage incoming calls professionally. A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a great dining experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
