Ross Bus Sales, the exclusive authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealer for Louisiana, is expanding into the New Iberia area and we're looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Technician to join our team. We are a family-owned company that has been in the bus business for 40 years. This is a leadership role. You will work hand in hand with the Service Manager to carry out the vision for the service shop.

What You'll Do:

Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Blue Bird school buses and related heavy-duty equipment Utilize OEM software and service manuals to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and emissions standards Help coordinate and assign jobs among the shop Train and assist techs with diagnosis and repairs as needed Travel on service calls to customers in the area when needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Collaborate with a supportive team of professionals committed to quality and safety, including participating in meetings to discuss shop vision and goals

What We're Looking For:

4+ years of experience working on heavy-duty equipment (trucks, buses, construction equipment, or similar) Diagnostic and mechanical skills Leadership, supervision and training experience and skills Advanced knowledge of diesel / gasoline engines, hydraulic and air brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC ASE or OEM certifications are a plus (but not required) CDL-B or ability to obtain one is a plus Owning your own tools is a plus
