Position Summary



We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Fire Alarm Technician

to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems and related low-voltage equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service, and strict adherence to safety standards and code compliance.

Key Responsibilities



Install, program, test, and maintain fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable). Troubleshoot and repair system faults, wiring issues, and component failures. Perform scheduled inspections and testing per NFPA standards and local jurisdiction requirements. Document service work, inspection reports, system deficiencies, and corrective actions. Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner. Communicate effectively with customers, property managers, and internal team members. Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition. Assist with system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations as needed.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred). Minimum 1

+ years of fire alarm or low-voltage experience

(NICET certification a plus). Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics. Proficiency with major fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Notifier, Honeywell, Fire-Lite, EST, Silent Knight, Siemens, etc.). Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/lifts as required. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
