Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, construction management, and project scheduling. This role involves overseeing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team of electricians on various construction projects. The Lead Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining quality control and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Duties

Supervise and manage a team of electricians on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Oversee electrical installations, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution systems. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking progress. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical systems. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for electrical projects. Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians, fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the team. Perform construction estimating for electrical work, ensuring accurate projections for project costs. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical systems and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Experience

Proven experience in the electrical field with a strong understanding of construction site operations. Familiarity with construction management tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other relevant software is preferred. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling and management within the construction industry. Previous experience in supervising teams or managing projects is essential. Strong knowledge of budgeting processes related to electrical installations and construction projects. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively is required for successful execution of duties.
