CareFirst Community Health, LLC operates DBHDS-licensed residential homes for adults with developmental disabilities. We focus on person-centered supports that promote dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Position Summary

The Lead DSP oversees daily home operations, provides direct care, mentors DSPs, and ensures compliance with DBHDS and agency standards. Acts as on-site leader and supports individuals in achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support DSP staff. Ensure accurate documentation (ISPs, MARs, progress notes). Coordinate appointments, medication administration, and household schedules. Support residents in community inclusion and personal skill development. Maintain safety, compliance, and a positive home environment. Participate in on-call rotation and provide direct care as needed.

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED (Associate or higher preferred). 2+ years' experience with individuals with developmental disabilities. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid VA driver's license and clean record. Able to pass background checks and required trainings (CPR, First Aid, etc.).
