Zurich North America is currently hiring a Lead Developer to work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of Pega applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture standards.
Create and maintain detailed design documents, including class structures, data models, and process flows.
Oversee the development and configuration of Pega applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Collaborate with development teams / Pega product teams to resolve technical issues and optimize application performance.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area
OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area
AND
Experience assisting with design, coding benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
Experience working with multiple phases of software systems programming applications
Experience working with multiple programming languages
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in software development using Pega
Expertise in Pega including Pega Rules, Pega BPM, Pega UX frameworks like Cosmos and Constellation, Pega DX APIs
Proficiency in Pega application design, including class structures, data models, and process flows.
Experience with Pega integration technologies - queue based, API based, and file-based integrations.
Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Experience in design and implementation of large BPM programs using Pega
Knowledge in Commercial Insurance domain and hands on experience in Commercial insurance system of records
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. For this position, the salary is $64,600.00 - $105,900.00, plus a short-term incentive bonus of 10%.
