Job Description


Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Lead Developer to contribute to the delivery of assigned IT application mid-size project or program work stream for specific vertical lines of business by collaborating with other Enterprise teams, analyze existing applications, analyze customers\' needs and design, document, test, and develop software either individually or as part of an Agile team. Specific duties include: independently perform or execute given solution design assignments; provide leadership, consultation for multiple areas of technology to project efforts within various IT areas and/or external service providers; oversee the technical design and solutioning of the vendors; perform quality checks of program code, test plans/results, related objects, and documentation; respond to Production Support issues; analyze programs to ensure that they are efficient and recommend appropriate changes; conduct preliminary estimates / Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort of new/change to application functionality; monitor and audit the work of junior staff to ensure that it meets installation standards, design specifications, efficiency, and accuracy; design and develop documentation of proposed procedures and systems; perform preliminary evaluation of packaged software; and support the implementation activities, troubleshoot system environmental issues, and provides training. Position requires Microsoft Certified Professional - MCP and Certified Scrum Master - CSM certifications. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S. and internationally. Option to work remotely is available.

Position requires a Bachelor\'s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Web Application Developer, or similar position in the IT Application Design and Development area. Must have 5 years of experience working with each of the following: SQL server; SSMS, Visual Studio; VS Code; Azure DevOps; Git; Jira; Confluence; TFS; Grafana; and RabbitMQ. Must also have 4 years of experience working with each of the following: .NET including C#, VB.NET, MVC, and Web API; Jquery; Angular/Typescript; AWS S3/EC2; and Cloudfront. Additionally, specific experience must include 3 years with each of the following: working as a Full Stack developer using .Net, Entity Framework, and SQL; working in medium to large legacy modernization/transformation projects; architecting, setting up and maintaining CI/CD Devops Pipeline; working as a Technical team lead providing directions to junior team members; and working in Agile projects with teams spanning across different geographical locations and time zones. Must have Microsoft Certified Professional - MCP and Certified Scrum Master - CSM certifications. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S. and internationally. Option to work remotely.
