Since our founding in 2006, Success Academy has embodied our mission to drive public education as an excellent, efficient, and equitable pillar of American society. During this time, Success Academies has grown faster than any charter network in the nation, building a vibrant network of 59 elementary, middle, and high schools. Our 22,000 children - from underrepresented communities - are outperforming students at top city and suburban schools across New York State. Looking forward, our goals are even more ambitious: to grow to 100 schools and to educate 50,000 children across New York City in a uniquely holistic pre-K-12 system, bringing transformational change here and across the country through extraordinary school quality. Critical elements of this ambitious goal include our commitment to building a K-12 campus in the Bronx from the ground up, as well as expansion into other state markets.





Reporting to the Leader of Operations Excellence & Scaling, the Lead of CX Operations will serve as the architect of the operational engine that powers a world-class experience for our entire community. This role is a chance to be a chief systems designer for our schools, cultivating and executing the backend processes, platforms, and foundational work that ensures seamless, innovative, and joyful experiences for scholars and families.





You will be the strategic force behind our Network's operational design, building the scalable and repeatable systems that make every thrilling event and successful daily operation possible. Your mission is to continuously optimize our operational model, leveraging a deep understanding of process and technology to implement solutions that make the day-to-day work of running a school simpler, more efficient, and more robust. This is a leadership role for a big-picture thinker, a meticulous planner, and a relentless champion for building the infrastructure of excellence.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Pioneering Operational Infrastructure and Standard Work

+ Champion a bold, creative approach to operational design that sets a new standard for public education systems.
+ Build and scale our core operational model that embodies our school's groundbreaking principles, ensuring seamless execution across all campuses, including our new K-12 facility and future out-of-state expansion.
+ Transform critical, Network-wide workflows relating to facilities, technology, people management, adult culture, and school design into repeatable, high-quality processes that ensure precision and consistency across every school.

Driving Innovation & Automation

+ Direct the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and solutions that boost backend efficiency and streamline workflows for school operations staff.
+ Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual tasks, enhance data accuracy, and reduce administrative burdens, influencing a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Partner with our Technology teams to design and deploy system enhancements that create intuitive, effective, and elegant operational platforms.

Leading Strategic Projects

+ Guide cross-functional teams in bringing major Network-level projects to life, managing stakeholders, timelines, and budgets with a high bar for excellence.
+ Build and maintain strong, solutions-oriented partnerships with Network partners and external vendors, ensuring all operational needs are met and new technologies are integrated smoothly.
+ Serve as the ultimate advocate for operational excellence by designing and implementing robust support systems that enable a positive experience for school operations staff, families, and scholars.

Required Qualifications and Traits

:


A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations or logistics, or a related field. Proven ability to manage and optimize complex backend operational processes and comfortably navigate frequent and FAST change. Demonstrated success in a systems-oriented problem-solving role, with proven experience and the ability to see challenges as opportunities for innovation and automation. A meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing complex, multi-faceted projects with precision and grace. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain solutions-oriented rapport with a wide range of stakeholders. A deep commitment to Success Academy's mission and vision, and a passion for providing a high-quality educational experience for all scholars. An ability to serve as a changemaker and frontline leader who fully embodies and commits to the groundbreaking principles of our school design and vision.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
Compensation Range
$110,000--$140,000 USD
