This is for a 1st shift DC Lead Maintenance Technician position at the DSW warehouse in Westampton, NJ.

By collaborating with Operations Area Managers and Directors, the Lead Maintenance Technician prioritizes the team workload to drive exceptional team outcomes in support of operational goals.
The Lead Maintenance Technician coaches, mentors, develops, and empowers team members on both technical and behavioral competencies in an effort to deliver high impact business results. Not only does the Lead Maintenance Technician assist with performing complex automated material handling system projects and repairs, but the Lead is responsible for the Company's production and organization of workflow, R&D, maintenance, ordering of supplies, supervising and training team members, promoting safety and teamwork, conveyor belt fabrication, other fabricators, workflow, quality of the workshop, and several other administrative duties.
To be successful, the Lead Maintenance Technician must possess advanced knowledge of automated conveyor systems, the ability to work collaboratively with numerous members of the operation, and supervisory skills that enable the Lead to balance the maintenance team's capacity with prioritized activities. Overall, the Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of conveyor systems and developing plans on how the team will accomplish department and operational objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
oLiaise with Operations Managers and staff to schedule production and service work, and organize and prioritize workflow as required by site guidelines.
oCompletes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
oSubmit requests for additional supplies, and calculate material usage and waste for each order.
oConduct R&D for new procedures
oPerforms preventive/predictive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures.
oTroubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious. oProvides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and dashboard database; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issues.
oUtilizes working knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, automated conveyor systems, and key components of the distribution center, to include but not limited to automated putwall (pick-to-light systems), HighJump (WMS), PandA (Print and Apply) components, and Intelligrated conveyor systems.
oDiagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g. Multi-meter, laptop, etc.).
oAnalyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an ROI to support the change.
oFollows up by providing feedback and timely documentation with Facilities Manager, Supervisor/Lead, and other Operations Managers to ensure issues have been resolved.
oProvides information to the Facilities Department Manager and other members of management to enhance program success.
oParticipates in cleaning the conveyor systems and maintenance area as appropriate oAdheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to improvement.
oServes as a Technical Trainer to department associates as needed.
oSupervisory duties related to:
Assigning duties and roles for staff ;
Entering and tracking work orders in the CMMS;
Coach and train subordinates
Audit timesheets, maintain overtime, and ensure proper coverage is available.
oMaintain and repair tools and equipment. Use hand, power tools, and equipment to cut, shape, splice, and fit various conveyor materials.
oMaintain proper inventory levels for spare parts, controls, tools, and other maintenance related items according to set par levels.
oPerforms general facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, light plumbing, light electrical repairs, etc.
oOther duties as instructed by leadership which the associate is trained and skilled to perform
Required Skills:
oCertified to operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklift), boom and scissor lifts, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.

oCommand of basic math skills to ensure inventory (count, add, subtract, identify, etc. numbers 0-1,000) and measurement conversion accuracy (mm to in)

oMust have the ability and eagerness to lead others.
oAbility to manage outside vendors and customers in a highly responsive and respectful manner.
oSuccessfully perform processes associated with the core duties and responsibilities of the position
oAbility to maintain a flexible schedule to support workload and operations requirements, including holidays and weekends as dictated by the operations oFrequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time and sometimes working in extreme temperatures
oMove objects using proper lifting and operating procedures
oSafely utilize manually operated equipment (i.e. pallet jack, rolling conveyor, pick cart, totes, or hand truck) to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying
oStrong multi-tasking, organizational, detail, follow-up, and interpersonal skills oKnowledge of proper business communication etiquette, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
oFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Word and Outlook, and high proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience:
o7-9 years of related hands-on experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation with a focus on industrial manufacturing process/production equipment is required
oA combination of education, certification, training, etc. and experience maintaining equipment produced by Honeywell Intelligrated equal to 5 or more years required oMinimum of 5 years' experience in conveyor service application.
oMinimum of 1 year experience supervising employees.
oStrong electrical background, knowledge of low voltage controls and PLC.
oConveyor and/or sortation experience required.
Education:
oHigh school degree or an approved GED required.
oAssociate degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, but not required.

Pay: $31.85 - $42.00 per hour
