Job Title: Lead Concession Worker

Location: Iron Trail Motors Event Center (ITMEC) - Virginia, MN

Position Overview

Join our team at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center and help keep the excitement going during youth and high school hockey games and community events! The Lead Concession Worker oversees concession operations -- preparing food, taking orders, handling cash, and ensuring smooth, friendly service. This hands-on role also includes training staff, managing inventory, and maintaining food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers, take food and beverage orders, and operate the POS system accurately. Prepare and serve concession food items following established recipes, portion standards, and safety guidelines. Ensure all food and beverage items are properly stocked, displayed, and stored. Order supplies and food from approved distributors as needed and maintain inventory levels. Open and close concession areas -- including setup, equipment prep, and end-of-shift cleaning. Oversee cleaning, sanitizing, and safe storage of all food service equipment and work areas. Train and assist concession staff on food prep, POS use, safety, and customer service standards. Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for events. Maintain accurate cash handling procedures -- count tills, complete cash drops, and reconcile reports. Communicate any equipment issues, low inventory, or incidents to management promptly. Ensure compliance with all health codes, food safety, and facility policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or concessions preferred but not required. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Weekend availability is required. Most events occur during youth and high school hockey games throughout the winter season, with additional opportunities for other events year-round. Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and event schedules. Basic math and computer skills (POS system experience required). ServSafe or food handler certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Compensation

Hourly pay based on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
