PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Bar Lead is responsible for delivering exceptional performance in their role, embodying Ranch core values, and upholding the standards set for Forbes Five-Star Properties and members of Relais & Chateaux. This position provides leadership and support to the bar team to ensure the efficient and high-quality operation of the bar. Through expertly crafted beverages and exceptional guest experiences, the Bar Lead contributes directly to the property's reputation for excellence.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Oversees daily bar operations; ensures smooth service and adherence to opening and closing procedures. Prepares and serves a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens. Provides guidance, training, and support to bar staff; fosters a positive and productive work environment. Monitors inventory levels of bar supplies, spirits, wines, and beers; assists with ordering and stock rotation. Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol service including age verification. Handles guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally; resolves issues to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the bar area including equipment, glassware, and storage. Accurately processes guest orders and payments using the POS system. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume or luxury establishment; at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) required. Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and craft beers. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach overhead. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs. Comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment with potential for slippery surfaces.
