Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for an experienced and highly skilled individual with an active Secret clearance to lead the design, development, and deployment of complex applications and microservices as part of a cross-domain solution to support classified development and provide on-site supervision (5 days a week) in Merrifield, Virginia.
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product owners, champions, and stakeholders to identify, document, and integrate requirements into features as part of a modern software development lifecycle. Utilize Agile for the management and delivery of work across the software development team. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level developers. Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and ensure alignment with business goals. Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices in software engineering. Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability. Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment processes. Work closely with DevOps teams to improve delivery pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies. Ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of applications through thoughtful design and automation. Participate in system architecture discussions and influence key technical decisions. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's + 12 years experience 7+ years of professional Java development experience Secret clearacne with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability Expertise with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA Active Secret Clearance US Citizen Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Java best practices Expertise with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA Solid understanding of RESTful web services and API design Experience with version control systems (Git using ADO or GitHub) Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written Multi-task along with attention to detail Self-motivation, organization, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills Work independently and as part of a team Networking, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Microsoft Windows Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD)

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range: USD $200,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.
