The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $79,680 to $99,600.
Job Summary
In a lead position, develop corporate material forecasts and plans to provide consolidated material requirements for all operating companies. Control the company's investment in materials and equipment by minimizing inventory levels while maximizing material availability to ensure proper levels of inventory resources are maintained for optimum operating efficiency and cost effectiveness. Perform other duties as assigned.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and plan material requirements utilizing planning and forecasting models for corporate material requirements.(30%,P)
Establish order levels for materials to be included on blanket orders, commitment orders and base load programs. Control economic order quantity parameter file. Initiate purchase requisitions for manual order points. Recommend obsolete inventory for disposal.(20%,P)
Manage and coordinate inventory levels and service levels with a corporate perspective.(20%,P)
Provide direction, guidelines and training for warehousemen regarding MRP and forecasting methodologies.(10%,S)
Develop material plans and inventory targets. Assist in the administration of supplier alliances including site audits. Able to run small projects independently.(10%,S)
Mentor and train junior members of the supply chain organization. (10%,S)
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience Required:
+ Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred.
+ Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.
+ Must thoroughly understand ERP systems.
+ Knowledge of supply chain operations.
+ Specialized training in financial analysis and forecasting methodologies.
Certifications:
+ C.P.M. APICS or MMIS or working toward achievement is desired but not required.
Skills/Abilities:
+ Must be able to effectively interface with all levels of management.
+ Strong informal leadership skills and the ability to mentor team members.
