Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking a highly efficient and organized Appeals Specialist. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate to handle insurance claim denials and ensure accurate reimbursement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, writing appeal letters, and working independently.

Compensation:

$45,000+ annually

Responsibilities:

Review denied claims or underpaid claims Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation Research payer policies and denial reasons Track appeal statuses and follow up with payers Communicate with the Billing Manager to gather needed information Maintain accurate documentation in billing systems Audit clients to ensure appeals are handled promptly

Qualifications:

1+ year experience in law office billing, claims, or appeals Strong written communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and work independently Knowledge of denial codes & payer guidelines (preferred) Auditing skills (strongly preferred) Must reside in the Southern Nevada area, as this position is in the office.
