What You'll Do
As a
Law Clerk
at New Leaf Family, you'll play a vital role in supporting our attorneys and clients across a wide range of family law matters. Your work will span administrative, paralegal, and attorney-level tasks (always under the supervision of a licensed attorney).
Your duties may include: Preparing attorneys for court appearances, trials, and depositions
Drafting and filing pleadings and other legal documents
Assisting with discovery requests and responses
Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda
Communicating with clients and opposing counsel
Supervising and coordinating the work of junior paralegals or interns
Tracking all time worked in New Leaf's systems
Assisting with prospective client intake and engagement decisions
You'll also support firm operations as needed -- from case preparation to helping ensure smooth client onboarding.
What We Offer
Hourly Compensation:
$20.00/hour (non-exempt, full-time position)
Path to Advancement:
+ Upon passing the
Colorado Bar Exam
and admission to practice, New Leaf anticipates extending an offer for a full-time
Associate Attorney
position (expected starting salary:
$75,000/year
).

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable
Law Clerk
who is passionate about helping families through complex legal challenges.
Required Skills & Attributes:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited law school
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent organizational abilities and time management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management, and legal software tools
Professional communication and client service demeanor
Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and teamwork
Additional Requirements:
Ability to track time and manage multiple deadlines
Willingness to perform a wide range of tasks -- from administrative to substantive legal work
Must receive written approval for any overtime (pre-approved in advance except in emergencies)
