Aikens Group and the Hilton Garden Inn - Martinsburg are seeking an individual to become a part of an award-winning team. The chosen applicant will be awarded a full-time job with potential growth opportunities in the hotel industry. The shift is from 12Noon - 8PM
A laundry attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean and stain-free linen and assisting the management, housekeeping, and front desk teams. They are a valuable asset to ensuring outstanding guest services and financial profitability.
The responsibilities and expectations of operating the laundry department:
Assisting with stripping of dirty linen from guest rooms
Delivering exceptional customer service during all guest interactions.
Works effectively with other team members to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
Performing all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, loading and unloading machines and laundry chute, folding, storing, and delivering.
Pre-treat and process all stained linen
Properly track and dispose of discarded linen
Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry and storage areas
Maintain and assist with the accuracy of the hotel linen inventory
Maintain and assist with laundry chemical inventory
Assist guest, front desk, and housekeeping whenever necessary
Clean and freshen guest rooms, as needed
Qualifications Include:
The flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job is physically demanding. Must be able to bend, move large laundry totes, and remain on one's feet for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
Must be able to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to make decisions
