Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, towels, and garments within our facility. This role is essential in ensuring that all laundry services meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is a plus, particularly with dry cleaning and laundering processes.

Duties

Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder various items including linens, towels, and garments. Sort and categorize laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements. Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring that all items are treated according to their specific care instructions. Inspect finished laundry for cleanliness and quality before returning items to their designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines, floors, and work surfaces. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly. Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery.

Requirements

Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, especially in a hotel setting. Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as required.
