Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation & Health Center is a 181 bed long term care facily in Millsboro, DE.


We are looking for Laundry Workers to join our team! This position may also serve as a housekeeping back up.

The primary purpose of your position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our Facility, and as may be directed by the Environmental Services Director and or the Administrator, to assure that our Facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and the an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents. Specific Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.

• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing food practices.

• Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or meet exemption requirements.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

• Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this Facility, which may include a medical and physical examination.

• Must be able to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability.

• Based on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration\'s Guidelines for Nursing Homes Ergonomics for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders and the American Conference Governmental Industrial Hygienists\' Threshold Limit Values for Lifting the Facility has identified that this job may require the lifting of residents, equipment, or other objects. Accordingly, this job may require a minimum of 5 pounds and a maximum of 35 pounds lifting, periodically and or as needed.
