Duties



Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, including programming with G-code and CAM software to produce complex parts with precision. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining. Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts. Adjust machine parameters, tooling, and fixtures to optimize machining processes while maintaining safety standards. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC lathes and manual machines; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts or other materials handling equipment; assist with fabrication or assembly tasks as needed. Document production data accurately, including shift reports, inspection logs, and quality control records to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications



Proven experience operating CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, or manual lathe equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks for interpreting designs and tooling setups. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, and CNC programming languages. Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise machining. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling, fabrication techniques, welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, and materials handling equipment like forklifts. Experience with quality control tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments; factory experience preferred. Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
