Landscape Operations Manager
to lead field operations and help scale our services efficiently.
Position Overview
The Landscape Operations Manager oversees daily field operations, crew leadership, scheduling, and quality control. This role blends people management, logistics, and horticultural expertise to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. You will be a key leader supporting both employees and clients while continuously improving operational systems.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, improving systems, and being accountable for results. This role requires working in all weather conditions with flexibility during peak seasons, including early mornings or extended hours as needed.
Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
Lead and manage daily landscape and turf care operations
Hire, train, and coach field employees on safety, quality, and performance
Build and adjust daily and weekly schedules to maximize efficiency
Conduct job site quality checks and ensure client satisfaction
Provide horticultural and turf care guidance, including proper application methods and timing
Develop and enforce SOPs and safety procedures
Track productivity, quality, and operational KPIs
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in landscape, turf, or horticulture operations management
Strong working knowledge of horticulture, plant health, and turf care practices
Proven experience leading and managing field crews
Ability to plan schedules, solve problems, and adapt quickly
Professional communication skills with employees and clients
Experience using scheduling software, CRM tools, or operational systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with fertilizer and herbicide programs
Knowledge of regional turf species and landscape best practices
Experience developing SOPs or training programs
