Responsibilities

Operate a variety of equipment such as shovels, rakes, blowers, and mowers to complete daily assignments Clean lawns by collecting and discarding lawn debris, litter, or other waste materials Trim, maintain, and edge sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other features Plan and cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens based on landscaping designs Apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees by spraying or spreading Trim trees and shrubs and maintain flower beds Perform general lawn care duties such as mowing, raking, mulching, weeding, fertilizing, edging, and pruning Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic understanding of landscaping practices and procedures Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly Ability to follow directions and complete assignments Thorough understanding of how to care for various types of lawns, greenery, and plants Ability to operate various types of power equipment including trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping Ability to be a team player and flexibility to work with various crews Valid drivers license or reliable transportation Must be 18 years of age or older
