Position: Survey Crew Chief

Salary:

$29.00 - $40.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities



Perform field work for

Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys

,

ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys

,

Construction Staking

, and other project types. Operate

Total Stations

,

GPS

, and

Data Collectors, Drones, Lidar Sensors

for a wide range of survey applications. Manage file transfers between data collectors and internal servers. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, coworkers, and project managers. Ensure compliance with company

Safety

,

Quality Management

, and

Equipment Maintenance

policies. Provide mentorship and leadership to field teams when required.

Required Qualifications



Minimum

3 years of field experience

as a Survey Crew Chief or equivalent. Proficiency with

Total Stations

,

GPS equipment

, and

levels

. Strong understanding of

control networks, boundaries, ALTA, topographic, and construction staking

procedures. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently. Basic computer skills, including

Microsoft Office

. Willingness to travel and work on-site for short durations.

Preferred Qualifications



Experience locating

Public Land Survey System (PLSS)

and other survey monuments. Background in

residential, commercial, or renewable energy

(solar, wind, etc.) projects. Familiarity with

Terrestrial, Mobile, or Drone-Based LiDAR

systems.

FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License

(or willingness to obtain). Experience coordinating activities with

survey technicians and project managers

.

Physical Requirements



Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in

varied terrain

(urban, rural, or remote). Capable of

lifting and walking long distances

during fieldwork.
