Laborer





Craft Performance Group (CPG) is a subsidiary of ANDRES Construction Services. ANDRES is a 100% employee-owned General Contractor headquartered in DFW, with additional offices in Houston and Austin. We are looking for someone that is eager to grow and expand with CPG.



CPG may have an opportunity for you! CPG is currently seeking an Laborer in Austin, Texas.



Laborer Knowledge and Experience Duties:

Advocate safety as number one priority on the jobsite and enforce compliance with company/jobsite safety plan, policies, and all safety-related regulations

Assist in change orders/change events

Manage material and submit purchase orders

Supervise the operations on the construction sites

Monitor the short-term schedule

Reviews, and supports the hiring needs

Quality control & coordination responsibilities with other trades

Ability to assist Project Manager prepare construction schedules

Make daily schedules for proper manpower utilization

Maintain daily reports, time sheets, safety and accident reports

Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts

Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work

Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs

Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards

Recognize and communicate to Project Manager any priority project problems, such as employee, job costing issues or any need for concern

Responsible for ensuring that all installations are correct per NEC, city codes and engineering drawings and specifications

Other duties as required

Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required

Overall responsibility for successful completion of electrical scope, including punch list, to Owner satisfaction

Maintain strong relationships with team, subcontractors, and ownership.


Laborer Knowledge and Experience Requirements:


Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, or MEP systems per specifications.

Ensure compliance with all safety codes and regulations.

Collaborate with the Superintendent and project team to complete scope work efficiently.

Perform quality control on installation scope performed.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately.

1+ year of construction experience preferred.

Experience with electrical, HVAC, or MEP scopes of construction preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow direction.

Assist with installation and assembly of CPG construction scope components under supervision.

Perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, and material handling.

Support electricians, HVAC technicians, and MEP trades on jobsite installations.

Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organized according to site safety protocols.

Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.




Physical Requirements and Work Environment:



Physical duties are a primary part of this role (more than 70%).


Duties may include crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching

Must be able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds; pushing and pulling of objects also required

Must be able to travel to different project locations within the metroplex as needed

Job requires working in all elements, specifically related to hot, cold, or wet weather

Able to work 8-10 hours per day/40 hours per week, as well as overtime and potential night shifts as required

Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
