Job Description

Dr. Vince Clinical Research is seeking a day shift Laboratory Technician I for their research facility in Overland Park. The qualified candidate will be responsible for preparing specimens for testing in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a person who works proficiently in the laboratory environment, is a team player, and is quality oriented.

During the interview, we will discuss the work schedule which is based on business need.

Job Duties

Transport biological samples (blood, urine, saliva, feces, others) from the clinic floor to the laboratory for processing Process study specimens following a sample path within indicated time limit including centrifugation, transfer, freeze Transfer sample from collection tube to small aliquot tube using a calibrated pipette or disposable pipette Process safety specimens in preparation to send to local laboratory Accurately pack and ship frozen samples to bioanalytic laboratory Ability to triage and process samples with handling restrictions and time constraints Track samples from receipt through storage using barcode scanner and/or data entry into eSource system Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Responsibilities

Knowledge of laboratory equipment (for example centrifuge, vortex, pipettes) Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Effective communication skills; both written and verbal Strong computer and typing skills Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment All other duties as assigned

Experience

Prior experience preferred for the full-time position, on the job training will be provided.
