Reporting Quality Manager



The Laboratory Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations in the Chemical and Physical Laboratories and is responsible for assuring all testing is performed in compliance with industry and customer standards in order to certify product. He/she also trains and supervises the Lab Technicians. The Lab Supervisor has general duties within the Quality department

Duties Include:

Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Physical and Chemical Laboratories Trains and supervises the Lab Technicians Reviews production orders against customer requirement and assigns and plans required tests. Performs production testing as required to cover for absences or workload surges. Ensures test equipment and written procedures are compliant with industry and customer standards. Responsible for ensuring calibration and general upkeep of equipment and maintaining inventory of consumables Coordinates contracted outside laboratory testing. All other duties assigned

Skill and Competency Requirements:

Associates in Quality, Engineering or Technical field preferred or relevant work experience in mechanical testing laboratory High school diploma required Working experience (minimum 3 years) in comparable roles Knowledgeable in all types of chemical and physical testing of steel preferred Knowledgeable in CNC machining preferred Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail. Can prioritize work based on the delivery needs of the production department Strong background in Quality Assurance and Control preferred * Supervisory or managerial experience preferred
