DESCRIPTION

Assists Histology Technologists with non-technical duties. Makes specimen pick-ups from Major and Minor OR's and from Endoscopy, files all blocks and slides. Pulls slides for Pathologists conferences. Prepares supplies for distribution to physicians' offices, nursing stations, OR's. Brings specimens to the Morgue and does Morgue Throw-out, neutralizes used formalin, and brings surgical tools to Central Supply. Assists in accessioning specimens.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required. Ability to enter data in PC.

$20.18 / $20.80 PER HOUR

Location: Montefiore Nyack Laboratory - Pathology

Schedule: Part Time, Evenings, 12:30pm - 4:30pm; Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
